July 17, 2009.

I’ve been driving Aidan around for a little over 7 months now, since January 3, 2009, to be exact. After doing some math, it averaged out to 396.82 miles per week. To those of you who do not drive frequently, or long distance, that distance is equivalent to driving to san francisco from arcadia once a week. I think to myself…”Wow…all that time wasted when I could’ve been studying…”
So many regrets…
Motivation?!?!
I finally decided to set aside my laziness and go to my psychology class at 9 this morning. I find it extremely difficult to get myself to go to this class because it seems like every time the professor opens her mouth, she’s singing a lullaby that can knock me out in seconds. But this morning, she lectured on a topic that seemed to grab my attention. Motivation. As she was describing the hierarchies of it, depending on what your circumstances and living situations may be, I realized I have absolutely no motivation when it comes to school and living a “successful” life. I’m sure I knew this all throughout my high school and college (so far) career, but it’s something I never wanted to admit to myself. I’m not motivated. I have no drive to want to succeed in life. Okay, maybe one. Avoiding my parents’ lash when they find out that I’m becoming a failure. A Korean SDA failure, might I add. But honestly. That reason in itself isn’t working for me. Obviously, it has gotten me nowhere. I’m still left feeling confused and helpless when I’m trying to decide what other career options I can choose from. And suddenly, I’m standing there clueless because not only am I feeling lost about my career choice, but I don’t even know what my true motivation is. Maybe no one knows until they settle on a career choice that seems reasonable. Does that mean I’m supposed to let my motivation be solely the idea of “what the future holds” ?? Sigh. Every time I ask my mom about other careers I have an interest in, she shuts me down by saying “You won’t be happy in the future, when you’re broke as hell” (in Korean…of course…maybe without the cursing…) Sometimes, I kind of wish I didn’t live so comfortably and “luxuriously”. Maybe if I grew up within an impoverished family, I’d have that true drive to want to succeed and raise my kids, etc.etc. But, I didn’t. So…what am I supposed to do?! I know, I know. You’re probably thinking “Wow..this girl is complaining about how she lived so comfortably? wtf is wrong with her…it’s people like her that are so ungrateful and selfish”. I can’t help it that I”m so confused!!! I need some sense of direction…oye. ( I think this was a vent..entry…=( )
Oh and by the way..my Biology book is glaring at me from the other side of the room. =( AIGOOOOOO!!~~
Oh, Samantha!

Samantha Jones (a.k.a. Kim Cattrall). My favorite character from Sex and The City~ Little did I know she was also featured in Star Trek almost two decades ago! Shocking shocking! Isn’t she SO FIONEEE for someone who’s 52 years old?!?! Man oh man…I’d love to look like her when I’m 52 =P
Kimchijiggae Master!
I recently picked up a new hobby..you’re not going to believe what it is …*drumroll*…COOKING! Can you guys believe it? All these years of feeling retarded as soon as I stepped into the kitchen are ovas! Here are some pictures to prove it to you~

If you guys are wondering how to cook this delicious looking jiggae, here’s how:
1. Cut your extra-fermented kimchi along with the sausages. Start sauteeing it in your naem-bee on medium heat.
2. Add 1/2 cup of H2O when it starts to boil. Add 1/4 of kimchi juice.
3. One spoon of soy sauce.
4. A pinch of salt and pepper. 2-3 spoonfuls of red pepper (gochu garu).
5. Add sliced onions, mushroom, and more H2O.
6. After it starts to boil again (make sure the heat is on medium this entire time), add tofu, 1/2 spoonful of olive oil, and minced garlic.
7. After 10 minutes of more boiling on Medium heat, add the green onions last.
8. Enjoy with rice and other side dishes =)
